We have come to the decision to temporarily close Apex until the new year. The exact date that we will be open is yet to be determined. In the past month we have been waiting patiently for the provincial government's instructions and guidance orders. They have been going back and forth changing their orders for martial arts. Yesterday the provincial government just announced the following changes: All indoor and outdoor sports for people 19 years of age and older are suspended. These include:
Youth indoor and outdoor sports for 18 and under is allowed with strict restrictions, a couple of them being no contact, and 3 meter physical distancing. Because of the nature of our sport we have decided that we will not be opening until restrictions for martial arts are loosened. We will put a hold on everyone's account, unless you specified that you would like to continue your membership. (Thank you so much to those who can help keep their membership running, we are very grateful to you all!) If anyone has any questions or concerns please email us at info@apexma.ca This year has been difficult for many of us, but we know, together we will be able to pull through. We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for their continued support through these tough times, and we hope to see everyone back in the New Year! We are happy to announce that we will be re-opening the club starting July 7th 2020.
We will have a temporary schedule, running classes from Tuesday to Thursday nights. Classes will be added depending on demand. Click here for schedule. Currently, we will not yet be running Jr. Eagles and Adult BJJ class. Hopefully we will be able to add those classes in August or September, depending on the government loosening their restrictions. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know. Thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding and we thank you so much for your continuing support. Looking forward to seeing you all again! The government has announced that they are allowing several different business, which include gyms and martial arts studios to open up after this May long weekend. You may or may not have heard that there will be a few gyms opening this coming Tuesday, May 19.
For the safety and well-being of our members we have decided to hold off opening Apex Martial Arts at this time. Currently the rule and restriction of 2 metres (6 feet) physical distancing is still in place. We will monitor the situation to see if the government will relax this restriction in the next few weeks or month. We are thinking of different options and possibly offer outdoor conditioning training. If anyone is interested in that please let us know. We will still be posting our online courses on our Apex website. (For access please email us at info@apexma.ca). We ask for your patience and understanding during these times. We also encourage you to please keep exercising, enjoy the outdoors, get some sun, stay fit and active. For any questions or concerns please contact us at any time. We miss everyone and we hope to see you all soon! Apex Martial Arts will be closed until further notice to minimize the risk of transmitting the COVID-19 virus. All classes are cancelled to ensure the safety of our community, members, and staff. This decision was made based on the latest information being released by provincial and federal public health authorities.
For new and existing members who wish to continue their membership to support Apex please email us at info@apexma.ca to register for our online training classes. We thank you for your understanding and patience at this time. Updates regarding continued closure or re-opening will be posted on our website and Facebook page. Please take care and stay safe! Thank you everyone for your support! As the situation around the COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to evolve, and as the World Health Organization has declared the outbreak a pandemic, we would like to inform everyone that Apex Martial Arts will be closed, effecive immediately.
We are doing our best to do our share in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus and would like to ask for everyone's patience and understanding on this decision. Our number one priority is the safety and health of our families, friends and our community. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide further information as it develops. For concerns and/or inquiries you can contact us at info@apexma.ca We thank you so much for being part of our Apex family. This pandemic will definitely be putting a strain on each of us in one way or another. We realize a few people have already asked me to put a hold on their membership. Apex may not be able to stay in business if membership drops, especially if this goes on for longer than a month. We are a small business and for us, each month of income counts. We ask for your continued support in anyway you can manage during these times. Thank-you, Marcy & Milo |
