APEX SAFETY PLAN

APEX Guidelines & Procedures and Class Bookings

We ask all our members and clients to please familiarize yourselves with the following Guidelines & Procedures and
Class Booking information as well as our Covid-19 Safety Plan. We thank everyone for your cooperation and assistance in helping to keep Apex clean and safe.  With our joint effort we will ensure the safety of our members and families.

Guidelines & Procedures for when you arrive at Apex:
  1. If you are experiencing ANY cough, fever or other respiratory symptoms OR believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19 or any other respiratory illness, please do not enter our facility.  Also, if you have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days, please do not enter our facility.
  2. Mask are required when you enter the facility, and can be removed when you are on the mat ready to train.
  3. Come 5 minutes before class starts. No earlier than 10 minutes so we can prepare and clean up between classes.
  4. Entrance is only through the front door. (No entrance at the back) If there is a line up to come in maintain the 2 meter physical distancing requirement. 
  5. Parking is on the street; Apex only has 2 designated parking spots and they are reserved for instructors.
  6. Temperatures will be taken when you enter Apex with a non-contact thermometer.
  7. Please use the hand sanitizer at the front desk.
  8. Sign in at the front desk, and you will be assigned a mat # to train on.
  9. Changing rooms will be closed. Bring only what is necessary into class. Please have your full uniform on and take everything to your dedicated mat. 
  10. Bathrooms will be closed and are for emergency use only. (You must let staff know if you have to use the bathroom.) (Parents please make sure your child goes to the bathroom before you leave your home.)
  11. Go directly to your mat# with your water bottle and your boxing gloves and your bag.
  12. Please stay within your designated mat area when training.
  13. There will be a spray sanitizer and cloth at your mat. Once your class has ended you must thoroughly sanitize your mat area, and equipment (pads & gloves)
  14. Leave pads and spray sanitizer at your mat and take the towel and place in laundry basket near the front desk.
  15. Exit through the back entrance. After a participant is finished their class, they must wait to leave their mat space until an instructor or coach instructs them to leave. This will control the flow of members leaving the facility and enable 2 metres of physical distancing.
  16. Sanitize your hands before you leave Apex.​​
  17. If there is a class scheduled after your class, please leave right after you have sanitized your equipment and mat so the next group/class can come in.  Please no loitering in the lobby area.

Class Bookings:
  1. In order to attend class you must make a booking in advance. (8 hour cancellation notice). Booking link can be found on our Schedule Page: http://www.apexma.ca/schedule.html
  2. Bookings can be made up to  2 weeks in advance.
  3. If a class is fully book, email and message info@apexma.ca to be put on a waiting list.
  4. If you cancel within 8 hours, you will have to pay a $10 cancellation fee.  (No cancellation fee if you are cancelling due to Covid-19 reasons.)
  5. We can accommodate 5 solo spots and 10 pairs/partner spots. When booking pairs spot, each person needs to make a booking reservation.  This is to insure each individual agrees to the online waiver.
  6. Partners must consist of people in the same household.
    • Household - “These would be the people you spend the most time with and are physically close to. These would be people who are part of your regular routine so household members, immediate family, a close friend or the people you have regular close contact with (for example a co-parent who lives outside the household)
  7. Each participant must sign a Covid-19 waiver. Parents must sign for kids 17 and younger
  8. Please note for the Eaglets classes, your child must be able to stay on their assigned mat space so that they are practising social distancing. (Parents may join and assist their child on the mats.)
  9. There is no spectators.  For parents with younger children you may stay on the mats with your child, please specify that in the comment line when booking your child's spot.
